Sirenia | n. pl. [ NL. ] (Zool.) An order of large aquatic herbivorous mammals, including the manatee, dugong, rytina, and several fossil genera. [ 1913 Webster ] ☞ The hind limbs are either rudimentary or wanting, and the front ones are changed to paddles.
