| Southeast Asia Collective Defense Treaty (Mahila Pact) | สนธิสัญญาซีโต้ สนธิสัญญานี้ได้มีการลงนามกัน ณ กรุงมะนิลา ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ เมื่อวันที่ 8 กันยายน ค.ศ. 1954 ประเทศที่ลงนามในสนธิสัญญามีประเทศออสเตรเลีย ฝรั่งเศส นิวซีแลนด์ ปากีสถาน ฟิลิปปินส์ ประเทศไทย อังกฤษ และสหรัฐอเมริกา สนธิสัญญาได้มีผลใช้บังคับเมื่อวันที่ 19 กุมภาพันธ์ ค.ศ. 1955ในภาคอารัมภบทของสัญญานี้ บรรดาประเทศสมาชิกต่างแสดงความปรารถนาที่จะประสานความพยายามของตนที่จะ ป้องกันร่วมกัน เพื่อธำรงรักษาไว้ซึ่งสันติภาพและความมั่นคง โดยเฉพาะข้อ 4 ของสนธิสัญญาเป็นข้อสำคัญที่สุด คือ แต่ละประเทศภาคีคู่สัญญาตกลงเห็นพ้องกันว่า หากดินแดนของประเทศใดถูกรุกรานจาการโจมตีด้วยกำลังอาวุธ ประเทศภาคีทั้งหมดที่เหลือจะถือว่าเป็นอันตรายร่วมกัน และจะปฏิบัติการเพื่อเผชิญหน้ากับอันตรายร่วมกัน หรือถ้าหากพื้นที่ภายในเขตครอบคลุมของสนธิสัญญาถูกคุกคามด้วยประการใด ๆ ประเทศภาคีทั้งหมดจะปรึกษากันในทันที เพื่อตกลงในมาตรการเพื่อการป้องกันร่วมกันสำนักงานใหญ่ขององค์การซีโต้ตั้ง อยู่ในกรุงเทพมหานคร โดยที่สถานการณ์ทางการเมืองของโลกได้เปลี่ยนไปมากทำให้องค์การซีโต้หมดความ จำเป็น และได้ยุบเลิกไปนานแล้ว [การทูต] |

| Southeast Asia Nuclear Weapon-Free Zone Treaty | สนธิสัญญาเขตปลอดอาวุธนิวเคลียร์ในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ " เป็นสนธิสัญญาของประเทศในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ทั้ง 10 ประเทศ ลงนามในระหว่างการประชุมสุดยอดอาเซียน ครั้งที่ 5 ที่กรุงเทพฯ เมื่อวันที่ 15 ธันวาคม 2538 มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการส่งเสริมสันติภาพ และเสถียรภาพของภูมิภาคและส่งเสริมความพยายามระหว่างประเทศในระดับภูมิภาคใน การป้องกันการแพร่ขยายอาวุธนิวเคลียร์ ซึ่ง นอกจากเป็นส่วนประกอบสำคัญของแผนงานว่าด้วยเขตแห่งสันติภาพ เสรีภาพ และความเป็นกลางในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (Zone of Peace, Freedom and Neutrality - ZOPFAN) แล้ว ยังเป็นการสนับ สนุนกระบวนการไม่แพร่ขยายอาวุธนิวเคลียร์ในเวทีระดับโลกอีกด้วย " [การทูต] |
